Mashing Microsoft Live

Well, we’re starting to make it all come together. I’m writing this blog post inside Microsoft Word 2007 and it’s taking care of posting, revising, inserting pictures, pretty much whatever I want and it make sure that it’s in clean HTML.

In another direction, Windows Live Messenger is now allowing people to write their own add-ins and they can automatically respond to messages or do pretty much whatever you want. I’m using mine to respond back when somebody tries to chat with me when I’m not available by posting the title and link to my latest blog posting that is gathered up dynamically by using Spaces’ new API.

What’s next in Live programmability? Well, we’ll know more when the Windows Live Developer site launches its preview next week at http://dev.live.com but in the meantime, there’s the Live section at MSDN at http://msdn.microsoft.com/live and it’s a pretty good start.
